The following
information for ECSA PHRF certificates is valid for 2008.
PHRF
CERTIFICATES are online and ready to roll (you will receive no
mailings). Here is what you do to get a certificate;
1. Go to any computer with internet and
log
on to ECSA.net
or go directly to the
join ECSA
page
2. Select Membership Type as directed and
click "Join Now".
3. Join ECSA, fill in blanks, pay your
membership with credit card.
4. Have your old PHRF certificate handy and
fill in all of the information. If you had a certificate from a
prior year you can import that info into this year's form. If you need more information on how

PHRF regulations to download a
printable file containing information and measurement definitions.
5. Submit and you are done.
At this point, an ECSA Handicapper (computer assigned) will get
your application, review it and finalized your certificate.
You will get an e-mail that your certificate is completed and that
you can go online on
ECSA.net web page look up your certificate and print it out as
many times as you want.
The
following information for DIYC club certificates is valid
for 2008.
A valid PHRF Race Certificate is REQUIRED to be eligible to
race at Duck Island Yacht Club. It must be
ON FILE PRIOR
to the event. If you have a valid
ECSA PHRF CERTIFICATE, you do not need to get the DIYC CERTIFICATE.
Club PHRF-2008 Racing Certificates are available from me for
those who are racing DIYC events only.
DIRECTIONS FOR DIYC
PHRF CERTIFICATE 2008 (good only for DIYC events)
To submit via e-mail:
1. Click on PHRF MS EXCEL FILE
to get a MS-EXCEL based DIYC - PHRF form.
2. Fill in all information make notes on any changes or alterations
to the boat.
3. If you need more
information on how to fill out the form you can use this link

4. When done, save the form as DIboatname.xls (Example;
DISNOWBIRD.xls.(excel file).
5. Then E-mail this file as an attachment to
me at pvm461@yahoo.com
to certify.
I
will complete the form and e-mail a copy back to you and to our DIYC
Rear Commodore Race.
To submit by land mail:
1. Print the MS Excel
file and send to me .
2. If
you do not have a MS EXCEL program you can click on
DIYC PHRF Form
to download an Adobe printable file (pdf). (Note: this
form is for 2006 but is valid for 2008). Complete
that form and mail it to me at Paul von Maffei, 461 Three Corners
