First Warning:

Spring Series:  1200 Eastern Daylight Time, each date

Summer Series: 1830 Eastern Daylight Time, each date

Start:

In Duck Island Roads between the Race Committee Signal Boat and a starting mark placed by the Race Committee prior to each race.

Courses:

Will be selected immediately prior to each race by the Race Committee, and

signaled in accordance with the Sailing Instructions.

Sailing Instructions:

Will be available after 1830 Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, 24 May 2008, for the Spring Series and Wednesday, 2 July 2008 for the Summer Series, at the Duck Island Yacht Club in the box located under the deck at front of the building, and online at www.diyc.com

Check-in:

 All boats must, upon approaching the Starting Area, check in with the Race Committee Signal Boat prior to the first race.

 The Racing Rules of Sailing (2005-2008), the prescriptions of United Sates Sailing Association, the Sailing Instructions for this Series, and this Notice of Race

Scoring:

Low point scoring system applies.  A minimum of  70% of the races must be completed by a competitor to qualify for series points awards.  A 20% throw out allowed.  Boats that travel to other Etchells events will receive an average score.

Results:

Will be announced at Duck Island Yacht Club after each day’s racing.
