Hamburg Cove is just above Essex on the Connecticut
River. Plenty of water with rental moorings available ($30/boat w
rafting permitted). A dingy ride to the inner cove or up to Selden
Creek is recommended. Hamburg Yacht Club has always allowed us to
use their dingy dock & parking lot, for those that come by car.
We usually go up on Thursday or Friday.
Ceilidh will host a cocktail party on Saturday at 5PM. For those coming by car call
me c203-907-7175 and we will come get you.
We were hoping to host a pot luck supper on
Sunday but unfortunately we have to return that day. Perhaps another
boat will volunteer to host it.
The Connecticut River can be
spectacular this time of year & Hamburg Cove is always beautiful.
Peak foliage in the lower CT River Valley isn’t predicted for a week
or two after Columbus Day Weekend but your presence will lite up the
cove.
Did you know that at Flat Rock at the
beginning of the channel between the Outer Harbor & Inner Harbor
there is a spring that was used by the Native Americans before the
arrival of the Pale Face?
We need to know if you will be joining us
so please give us a call or email.
Hope to see you there.
